pancake tuesday

For Pancake Tuesday the boys in Ms Madden's class decided to make pancakes. To do this we first needed to figure out what ingredients we needed so we decided to read Mr. Wolf's Pancakes.

From the story we learned that we needed three things - eggs, milk and flour. First we put the flour into the bowl.

Next, we put the egg into the flour.

Finally we put the milk into the mixture.

Our chef, Reinaldos whisked them all together to make the batter.

We learned the poem 'Mix the Pancake' to figure out what we do next which was to fry them, so Ms Madden cooked them in the kitchen during break. After that we had great fun trying to flip them.

We then played a 'Flip the pancake' game on the computer.

To remember the ingredients we needed to make the pancakes, the boys made an ingredients board.

Ms Madden got the pancakes ready while the boys were completing their ingredient boards. They could have sugar and lemon or chocolate spread on their pancakes.
