St. Patrick's Day shenanigans

Bhíomar ag foghlaim an amhráin "Bhí leipreachaín ina shuí faoi chrann" le haghaidh seachtain na gaeilge agus rinneamar mascanna freisin. Ar an lá roimh lá Fhéile Phádraig thug leipreacháín cuairt chuig ár rang. Rinne sé a lán cleasanna.

D'fhág sé priontaí chos
Chuir sé ár cathaoireacha bun os cionn.

Chas sé ár líomanáid an dath is fearr leis, glas. D'ólamar an deoch. Bhí séan blasta.Bhí an- spraoi orainn.

exploding volcanoes

3/13/2015

When we were learning about the letter v we started to talk about volcanoes. After learning about volcanoes and watching them explode on the IWB we decided to make our own.
Each table got some clay and had to mould it into the shape of a volcano.

We then coloured a picture of a volcano with Vic's van beside it.

When the clay was dry we had to paint the volcanoes. We decided to paint them brown.

The next day the paint was dry and we were ready to explode our volcanoes.
We put some bread soda into each volcano and made a mixture using red food colouring and vinegar.

When we poured the mixture into the volcano it exploded. It was great fun watching them explode.

at the post office

3/5/2015

After learning all about a postperson's job and what we have to do to send a letter we decided to open a post office in our class.
First we had to write our letters to send and put them into envelopes with the boys names.
Picture
Then we had to go to the post office to buy our stamps and get our envelopes stamped.
Picture
All boys had a turn working in the post office.

After we bought our stamps we had to put them into the post box.

Our postman Daniel collected the letters from the post box.

He delivered the letters to all the boys in the class.

We had great fun opening our letters,
