This month our theme in Aistear is "The Pet Shop".  In our role play area we set up our pet shop. We had some customers, shop helpers and a cashier. These boys are setting up the pet shop  Our customer is paying the cashier for his new Dalmatian.  One if our helpers is helping the customer to find the pet he is looking for.  At the playdough station the boys made animals to sell in the pet shop.  Alex made a rabbit to sell.  Look at this huge snake.!  At the construction table the boys made houses for the pets.These were also sold in the pet shop.  Look at the fancy kennel Boris and Filip made.  At the drawing table Mrs Harte worked with the boys to draw different animals.  This boy did a great job drawing a rabbit.  At the drawing table we also made up names for our pet shops and made signs using these names.These boys called their pet shops Animal Magic, Pet Zone and Zoo Time.
