We learned the letter p in school this week and decided to make Pirate Hats.
When Pirate Pete heard we had made hats
he sent Junior Infants a letter asking us to complete 3 tasks so that we could have a pizza party.
We had to read the story 'The Night Pirates'.
We had to colour in a picture of Pirate Pete.
The last thing we had to do was to follow the right trail to find the treasure but because it was raining outside Pirate Pete called to the school and delivered the treasure to Kathleen and we learned a silly Pirate Song
We managed to complete all the other tasks and sat down to our party.
We had pringles, penguin bars, popcorn, pizza and drank some pirate's punch.
Each pirate got a prize and some gold going home. It was a perfect party.
After learning about the letter i in school,we thought about all the things that start with 'i' and decided to make some Indian Headbands.First we used paint, corks and spools to print different designs on our headbands.
When they were dry we used glue to stick feathers on them.
Don't we look like incredible Indians!
This week we learned the nursery rhyme Baa Baa Black
The boys acted out the different characters in the rhyme - the sheep, the master, the dame and the little boy.
Using pictures we put the rhyme back together in the right order.
For art we decorated Baa Baa Black Sheep using different materials - crepe paper, felt, cardboard and wool.
