ABOUT US
Welcome to St.Mary's Junior Boys' N.S., Nenagh.
St. Mary's Junior Boys was built in 1913 and opened its doors to pupils for the first time in 1914. The school has a long and proud tradition of teaching and it has been the starting point of education for many Nenagh people. It is situated close to the town centre.
In St.Mary's we aim to provide a happy, secure, caring and respectful atmosphere. We are a school which believes in the value of every child and adult who enters our doors.
As we are a Junior school we view ourselves as an extension of the home and take our role 'in loco parentis' very seriously. First and foremost we get to know all our pupils well and focus on them as individuals. We want each child to feel special and good about himself. We believe that positive educational experiences in the early years of schooling are crucial to a child’s future learning.
With this in mind we praise effort and encourage each one to believe in his own ability to achieve. Hand in hand with their academic learning goes their Social Personal and Health Education. Your child’s happiness is central to the ethos of St.Mary’s Junior Boys. We can offer your child a very positive start to his educational journey.
St. Mary's Junior Boys' is a Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Killaloe, Fintan Monahan. We are an inclusive school, open to children of all faiths and none.
