Ms Madden's class are working on sorting in Maths. Today they are sorting objects by colour. When the boys finished sorting they completed a page in their workbook based on sorting.
Last Friday Ms Madden's class had a special delivery from Pirate Pete. In the package was a letter, a story book and some things to use for our party. When we read Pirate Pete's letter we realized we had to complete some tasks before we had our party. We put on our pirate hats and got cracking. Our first task was to read Pirate Pete's favourite story " The Two Stubborn Pirates". Our next task was to colour a picture of Pirate Pete. The last task we had to do was to play the game Sea, Ship, Shore to make sure we were good pirates and were able to follow the Captain' s orders. We were then set for the party. At our party we had pizza, pringles, popcorn, penguin bars and Pirate Punch which was made using Pirate Pete's own recipe. Everyone had great fun at the party and the pizza was delicious. Each boy got a gold coin from Pirate Pete's treasure chest going home.
For Tree Day the boys in Ms Madden's class learned all about trees. We decided to take a walk to the Church to see some trees and to collect some things that fell from the tree. First we did some bark rubbings. Next we collected things that had fallen from the trees and put them in our bags. Some boys collected conkers from the Horse Chestnut tree. When we came back to school we did some work in our Autumn Book. Today we finished a picture of a tree in autumn and drew some leaves falling down. Before we left we gave a tree a hug for their special day.
