We had a chat about the post office today and decided to open a post office in our class and post some letters.
Our first step was to write a letter:
Envelopes: Our second step was to put our letter into an envelope.
We then had to walk to the post office to get some stamps.
Queue: We had to wait in a queue until we were called to the counter.
Getting Stamps: The boys working in the post office put a stamp on each envelope and stamped them.
Posting Letters: Our last step was to put our letters in the post box.
Postman: Our postman Mateusz did a great job reading the names to deliver the letters.
Our Letters: Look at the lovely postcard Rhys got from Boris.
We were learning about the letter j this week and we said it would be nice to make some jelly. We needed: a packet of jelly, a jug and some hot water.
First we put the jelly into the bowl and added some hot water.
We stirred the jelly and when it melted in the hot water we had a red liquid.
Ms Madden put the jelly in the cups and put it in the fridge to set.
It was scrumptious!!
After the fireman's visit we read the story Flashing Fire Engines and coloured in a picture of a fireman and the equipment he uses.
For playtime our role play area was turned into a fire station. Here Cian is taking a phone call from a person whose house is on fire.
