On Pancake Tuesday we learned how to play to make pancakes. First weread the story "Mr.Wolf's Pancakes" where we found out what ingredients we needed. Then we got the ingredients together - flour, eggs and milk. We put them into a bowl and the boys were the chefs and mixed the ingredients together. Ms.Madden cooked the pancakes and we ate them with nutella or sugar and lemon. They were delicious. We then cut out the ingredients we needed and stuck them on our own recipe boards so that we could make them at home.We finished the day by playing a flip the pancake game on the interactive whiteboard. Hurdles For the past number of weeks in PE we have been concentrating on Athletics. We now know the proper way to start all races On your marks - step forward Get set - crouch down GO!
Ms Gavin and two boys from first class came to help the Junior Infants boys play some literacy games in class. Ms.Madden worked with the boys on their blending and the boys did great work making words with the magnetic letters. Michael Moylan from First Class played bingo with his group and gave a sticker to any boy who won. Daniel O'Brien, also from First Class played a letter game with the boys on his table. Ms Gavin played a matching game where the boys had to match the initial sound with the correct picture. When the timer sounded the boys moved to the next table. They had great fun! |
