Happy Christmas from Ms Moloney’s Junior Infants. Junior Infants were busy getting stuck into festive activities in the lead up to Christmas. During Aistear we created Santa's Workshop in the role play area where the boys designed and made toys, Stockings were filled with pictures of things the boys hoped to get from Santa. After learning all about Penguins we had great fun playing Penguin Lotto We had our Santa Wow Day where we wore our Santa Hats and went on a walk around town spotting all the christmas decorations on our way. Santa's village was also under construction. We sequenced the story of the First Christmas. Eddie the Elf delivered a special package with everything we needed to make Reindeer food which we have leave out on Christmas Eve. Great fun was had dressing up as characters from the North Pole to act out Ralph the Reindeer. Ms Moloney’s class on a Winter walk to Nenagh Castle Garden. The boys had a lovely time playing there and exploring all the garden had to offer. Buddy the elf brought us some hot chocolate today. A lovely treat on a cold winters day. As part of the Community Santa for Seniors initiative run by Nenagh Garda station we made Christmas cards for our elderly friends in Nenagh day care center and Nursing homes. We hope our cards will bring a smile to their faces. Our teachers also donated gifts.
