playground

For PE we went on a walk to the playground.
First we revised the Safe Cross Code and then we were set.
Jill and Eva walked with us.
We had great fun playing on all the slides, swings and the roundabout.
When we came back we wrote about it in our copy and drew a picture of our favourite part.

floating and sinking

This week in science we learned about floating and sinking,

First we played a game on the IWB where we learned how to conduct a science experiment. There are four steps
1) Observe object

2)Make a hypothesis.

3)Test object

4)Record results.

We played a dress up game.

This was our target game.

One of our stations was to watch a DVD while getting our faces painted and eating popcorn!!

Every Tuesday we have tennis lessons with Anne.
We learn some of the skills we need to become great tennis players.
It is great fun.

Our class have started working on some art projects with Olive. The first group worked on crayon resist.
First we drew a picture of a cloud, then they coloured a rainbow with crayons.We finished by painting over the picture with a wash made from paint and water.

I taste with my tongue

Today we learned that when we eat things our tongues tell us what they taste like. We learned that things can taste bitter, sour, salty and sweet.
We tasted different food.

The grapefruit tasted bitter.

The natural yoghurt tasted sour.

The crisps tasted salty.
