On Friday 23rd October Minister Alan Kelly officially opened our new extension with the help of Daniel from Senior Infants.Daniel's great grandfather John O'Gorman was the first principal of St.Mary's Junior Boys' N.S. from 1914-1945.
The new extension comprises two new mainstream classrooms,two resource rooms and also a two classroom Pre-school ASD units, complete with a large multi-sensory room and separate astro turfed playground.
In the old school building one of the Junior Infant classrooms was extended and we created a new G.P. room. Our playground has also increased in size with the new tarmac extension and astro turf playing pitch. A pitched roof also replaced the flat roofed section of the old school.
