Plenty of mini beasts were discovered on our recent mini beast hunt. We recorded all the different types we found on a handy worksheet which also helped us name the ones we were unsure of.
As the song says 'The Little Teddy Bears are having a lovely time today' and indeed they did on their picnic in the castle grounds. They even played a game of 'hide and seek' while the boys ventured in to climb the castle.
Junior Infants were lucky to be given a tour of Nenagh Garda Station by Garda Maureen. It was very informative and we learned a lot about what a Garda's job entails.
Ms Madden's class were rewarded for all their hard work over the last few weeks with a trip to the playground. It was great fun and the boys enjoyed an ice pop to cool themselves down after all the running around.
Junior Infants had great fun on their trip to Tearaways Pet Farm for their school tour.
Local Vet, Caroline Mounsey and veterinary nurse ,Aoife from 'A Country Practice' brought along Bernard the dog to chat with Junior Infants about a vet's job and showed us how a vet examines animals when they visit the clinic.

We played the games 'Quack Quack' and 'Old Mc Donald's Farm' on our independent station.
The vet was very busy looking after all the sick animals in his surgery.
We worked hard to remember the names of all the baby animals.
