We are learning important lessons in religion, treat our friends with respect, be gentle, be kind to all creatures and share with others. We coloured some pictures to place in 'Our Sacred Space'.
We are preparing for Féile an Aonaigh. We have learned Irish stories and poems and we will take part in the competition next Tuesday , March 4th.
Spring has Sprung. We are delighted to welcome Spring to our classroom.We learned about daffodils,tulips and snowdrops. We painted the flowers we love.
The children brought empty boxes from home. They worked in groups to decide what boxes to use and what to make. They covered the boxes in newspaper they had ripped up. When the newspaper dried the children painted their constructions. Michael and Saoirse made a factory.
Ben and Ross made a robot. Shauna, Lewis and Oren made a rocket. First we coloured in the kites. Then we broke up lasagne sheets and stuck them on the kites. We painted the pasta and stuck a bright ribbon at the end of the kite.
Today we were like Miss Walker's class in our reader 'Fun on Friday'. We all brought in boxes and made lots of wonderful things from recycled boxes. We made robots, and lots of exciting things. Look at our slide show Senior Infants are reading about making things with boxes. Cian made a robot with boxes he found at home.Nice job, Cian.
Mr.O'Meara's class are learning all about 3D shapes this week. We made a cube today from card and learned all about its faces and corners.
