We are delighted to be able to offer the July Education Programme again this year to the boys & girls in the Sonas ASD Class.
We we have been very busy in the first few days including trips to the Pet shop on Silver Street, a visit to Nenagh Playground& a Trip to Nenagh Heritage centre where we visited an old classroom, a shop & the old jail.
Week two included a trip to the playground, a climb to the top of Nenagh Castle, Storytime and Arts & Crafts in the library and a visit to the community garden. Throughout the fortnight we also made lots of art work in our classes, had fun on the yard and had some treats in the sunshine. July Provision has been a huge success again and we hope everyone enjoyed every minute of it.
We have been having so much fun in Sonas in the last few weeks. As the holidays approach our teachers can see us all interacting more with our peers, especially on yard. We are all great friends and play lots of games together. We include everyone who wants to play.
We had a fantastic day today for our school tour. We started off the day with a big walk to Nenagh Fire Station. There we met Firefighters Anthony & Peter who told us all about smoke alarms, all about their gear and they let us try on their fire hats.
Next we went outside to see the fire truck. First responder Peter showed us his big first aid bag that he uses at the scene of fires and accidents. He let us use his stethoscope. We got to see all the equipment carried on the fire truck and Anthony showed us how water stops fire with a ballon filled of water.
The fun really started when we got to use the firemans hose. We got to see a really old fire truck and our fireman Sam got to sit on it and ring the bell!
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
