Physical Education in St Mary's Junior Boys'

All of us at St. Mary's Junior Boys' N.S. love P.E. We all know how important it is to work hard in the classroom, but it is equally important to exercise our bodies. We know that exercise helps us in many ways. It gives us healthier hearts, happier minds and it is always fun!

In our school our teachers give us every opportunity to sample all parts of the Primary School Physical Education Curriculum;
Athletics
Dance
Gymnastics
Games
Outdoor and Adventure Activities
Aquatics (Water safety in 1st Class)

We also enjoy when we get to try out different sports in school.
In our school we play hurling on Fridays. Chirsty from Nenagh Eire Og comes to play hurling with the boys in Senior Infants and 1st Class. We love playing hurling with Christy and we all improve so much from the start of year to the end. Now that we have a school hall we never miss hurling, we get to play what ever the weather.
In the summer months Anne comes to play tennis with Senior Infants & 1st Class. We have great fun playing a sport that most of us have never played before. We are very lucky that Anne our coach comes and we have so much fun!
