The boys in Ms Madden's class really enjoyed learning all about animals as part of our theme for March 'Animals and the Vet's Surgery'. At the role play area the boys brought their pets for a check-up. The boys really had to use their thinking skills to remember all the things in the Vet's Surgery when playing the Roll and Colour game. The construction site was a hive of activity building a barn for the animals one week followed by a Vet's Surgery which included an entrance, reception area and an examination room. Working as a team was the name of the game when the boys used their cutting skills to make their own farms. Great fun was had creating a farm in the small world area. What incredible turn-taking abilities the boys showed in playing different games based on animals such as Old Mac Donald's Farm, Baby Animals and Quack Quack. Look at the fantastic artistic flair the boys showed when drawing animals that live in the jungle such as tigers and monkeys. Without a doubt the favourite station for this month was our Small World station where the boys had to work as a team to create a habitat that would be suitable for wild animals to live in. Look at how they turned out! It is so nice to get the chance to bring a little bit of the natural world into the classroom. Comments are closed.
